SURVEY: Please help up make Take3.NWA the makerspace you need.
We have created a survey to help us better understand what our members are looking for in a makerspace. We are hoping to get this completed by as many potential members as possible, before our February 26 meeting.
It is only 10 questions.
Please help us out.

News for February.
Take3.NWA again took part in the Rogers Public Library's Geek The Library event. We had a great time. It was wonderful to meet locals who are just as excited about making things as we are. We even got some news coverage from it.
Our goal for 2013 is to finally get a space open and start making stuff with the local community. Please watch this space for more information.
Coming events
Starting in March, we are going to be having regular "field trips." These will be either shop tours or visits to other makerspace type locations.
March 9 -- We will be visiting a woodshop near War Eagle where they use a large ShopBot brand CNC router for production.
June 28/29 -- Kansas City Makerfaire. Those members who will be attending the Makerfaire will be invited to visit some of the KC area makerspaces. Details to follow.
Meetings
The current plan is to have monthly meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be February 26th at 6pm at the Rogers Public Library in the Glotzbecker Conference Room.

NorthWest Arkansas needs a hackerspace.
NorthWest Arkansas needs a hackerspace. There have been at least 2 attempts in the past and they both appear to have died on the vine. This is Take 3.
I would like to build Take 3 in Benton County instead of in Fayetteville. This is due to the fact that there are a large number of professionals who would like to have a hackerspace, but don't want to travel too far to go.

What I want in a Hacker/maker space.
- The clubhouse for an active hacker/maker club.
- Somewhat centrally located near I-540 at or north of exit 78 (Monroe Ave. Lowell)
- Reasonable monthly fees with a sliding scale based on willingness to volunteer time towards club maintenance and fundraising activities.
- Active in the community.
- Safe and fully insured.
- Classes.
- Well equipped shop.
- Laser cutter
- Full sheet CNC router/plasma cutter.
- MIG welder
- Wood working tools.
- Additional space for more based on the requirements of the group.
